Step Two: Perfecting the Screen for Printing

Step Two: Perfecting the Screen for Printing

After the screen has been rinsed and dried, we make sure that every detail is correct and make any corrections we need to make it as close to the original design as possible. This screen will be the stencil used for printing on each item. Next, our perfected stencil is placed on the printing press with the garment underneath on the printing board.

Step Three: Pressing Ink Through to the Apparel

Step Three: Pressing Ink Through to the Apparel

Here's where the magic happens! The screen is pressed down onto the item secured to the printing board. Ink is poured on one end of the screen in a gloopy pile. Then, a squeegee is used to push the ink across the screen, passing through the screen onto the garment in the right areas of the design. After the product is dried and double checked, your design is ready for the world!

NOTE: Multiple Colors Mean Multiple Screens!

Screen printing is done with one layer of ink at a time — this means that if you have multiple ink colors, multiple screens must be created to ensure each color goes in the right spot. This does result in additional cost. Check out our FAQ section to learn more.
